The premium charged for the V60 wagon is about $2,900 over a comparable S60 sedan. Interestingly, it’s also about $800 more than a comparable XC70 off-road wagon. Chalk that up to the V60 being the new kid on the block.
The $36,215 sticker is for the base T5 FWD model. This comes with Volvo’s next-generation Drive-E turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which rates in at 240 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive system.
Opt for the T5 AWD, which lists at $41,365, including destination, and you get an older turbocharged 2.5-liter mill good for 250 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The range-topper, at least until the V60 Polestar arrives, is the T6 AWD R-Design. This model is priced from $45,215, once again including $915 in destination, and gets Volvo’s turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine good for 325 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. These all-wheel-drive models come with either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
Options include alloy wheels measuring up to 19 inches in diameter, bi-xenon headlights, blind spot monitoring systems, plus Sport, Technology and Climate packages.
