First up is the world debut of the 2012 Jaguar XKR-S Convertible, which joins the XKR-S Coupe as the fastest and most powerful Jaguar models ever built. Both Coupe and Convertible boast a 5.0-liter, supercharged V-8 good for 542 horsepower and 502 lb.-ft. of torque.
In Coupe form, that’s good enough for a 0 to 60 time of 4.2 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 186 miles per hour. Since the convertible will likely carry a few more pounds, expect similar but not identical performance numbers.
Next up is the North American debut of Jaguar’s stunning C-X16 Production Concept, which combines a 3.0-liter, 375 horsepower supercharged V6 with a 94 horsepower hybrid drivetrain to produce a true “performance hybrid.”
The C-X16 will see limited production, and we expect that the final version will look quite a bit like the production concept.
On the Land Rover side, JLR will show the DC100 and DC100 Sport for the first time in North America. The hard-top DC100 and open-top DC100 Sport are meant to be design studies for what a future Land Rover Defender could look like, and the DC100 sports new paint, new wheels and more aggressive off-road tires for it’s L.A. appearance.
