Ferrari [NYSE:RACE] has dropped the top on its LaFerrari flagship.
The automaker is keeping the car’s name and most of the technical details a secret until the world debut at the 2016 Paris Auto Show, but we already know a lot about it.
Production will be limited and all build slots are already accounted for. It was offered for sale by invite only in March of this year.
Deliveries won’t start until 2017 which is the year Ferrari turns 70, so don’t be surprised if the car’s name reflects the anniversary in some way.

Ferrari says the car’s chassis required “significant and extensive” modifications to ensure torsional rigidity and beam stiffness matches the LaFerrari coupe. Hopefully that doesn’t translate to too much extra weight.
The car’s aerodynamics are also said to have been tweaked so that the drag coefficient is unchanged compared to the coupe. The roof system consists of a simple removable panel.
The powertrain is identical to both LaFerrari models. We’re talking about a 6.3-liter V-12 working in conjunction with an electric motor. The combined output is an impressive 950 horsepower.
