There’s a new version of the Porsche 911 Carrera just around the corner but in the meantime dealers still need to move the current model. To help entice buyers to sign up now, Porsche is throwing in a few extras at barely any additional cost with new Black Edition trim.

As the name suggest, the cars feature a combination of black paintwork and black interior trim. And to go along with the classy black look are 911 Turbo-style 20-inch wheels, LED headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+), and a simple “911” badge at the rear.

Other standard goodies include automatically dimming rear-view mirrors, rain sensing windscreen wipers, cruise control, a Sport Design steering wheel, heated seats, a backup camera, a Bose stereo, and park assist.

No changes have been made to the engine, which remains the familiar 3.4-liter flat-six fitted to all 911 Carreras. The engine is rated at 350 horsepower and can be paired with either a seven-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The Black Edition trim is available in coupe and convertible versions, and with either rear- or all-wheel drive.

The Boxster Black Edition is equally attractive. It receives 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels, bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System, dual-zone climate control, heated seats, park assist, and the Porsche Communication Management system with navigation and upgraded sound. The car’s 2.7-liter flat-six engine keeps its 265-hp output.
