Two versions of the stunning sports car have been announced, a 456-horsepower GT and 503-horsepower GT S. Only the latter will be available at the car’s U.S. launch, scheduled for spring 2015, with the former due to arrive about a year later. Further down the track we expect more variants, including a hardcore Black Series.

Both the current GT and GT S are powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 that will eventually find its way into all V-8-powered models in the AMG fleet. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission mounted on the rear axle and spins the rear wheels only.
