The number 8 TS030 Hybrid, driven by Anthony Davidson, Stéphane Sarrazin and Sébastien Buemi, finished a respectable second, while the number 7 car, driven by Alex Wurz, Nicolas Lapierre and Kazuki Nakajima, just missed out on a podium finish at fourth. Such a result confirms the impressive reliability of the TMG-developed race cars and demonstrates how much hybrid technology has become an integral part of world-class motorsport.
In case you missed the race, or you just want to relive some of the best moments, Toyota has released a new short film that charts its team’s challenge at Le Mans this year. Titled The Ultimate Endurance Race, the film charts all the twists and turns, on and off-track, and captures the special atmosphere of the world’s most famous round-the-clock race.
The short film is also dedicated in honor of Danish driver Allan Simonsen who died from injuries sustained in a tragic crash at this year's race.
