The Ferrari SA Aperta is one of the rarest of the rare when it comes to supercars but already the guys from German tuner Novitec Rosso have got their hands on it and have developed this scintillating new performance upgrade.

Despite only 80 being built, Novitec’s engineers have managed to go over every piece of the SA Aperta to arrive at this new sport program for it.

Drawing knowledge from its previous Ferrari 599 GTO upgrade, Novitec lifts output of the 599-based SA Aperta to a heady 888 horsepower and 636 pound-feet of torque, which means you’ll now be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds--all with the wind in your hair, of course.

Other performance numbers include a six second sprint to 124 mph and only 17 seconds passing from when you first floor the accelerator to the time the speedo reaches 186 mph. From there you won’t be far from reaching the car’s estimated 212 mph top speed.

The extra output is courtesy of a pair of high-performance superchargers bolted to the SA Aperta’s 6.0-liter V-12 engine. These are driven by a cogged V-belt and lubricated by a dedicated oil circuit.

A large water-to-air intercooler is also fitted and features a dedicated water circuit, an essential piece for maximum power yield and healthy engine temperatures. Maximum boost pressure, however, is limited to a relatively mild 6.5 psi.

If you happen to own a Ferrari SA Aperta and were looking for a little more oomph, then the guys at Novitec Rosso are certainly worth a call. Note, they also have a series of styling enhancements including 21- and 22-inch forged alloy wheels, tinted lens for the tail-lamps, and a complete interior upholstery upgrade package.
