We first saw the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe at this year's Geneva Motor Show, but until now, it hasn't graced our native soil. That's been rectified with its official debut today at the 2011 New York Auto Show.

The rumbling, 6.2-liter V-8 engine under the hood is good for 451 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, and the sleek, sophisticated lines are good for anything from a country club golf course to a members-only road course. Throw in the AMG Development Package and you're up to 481 horsepower and well into what was supercar territory just a few years ago.

Zero 60 mph? 4.4 seconds. Top speed? 155 mph. AMG Development Package upgrades? Make that 4.3 seconds and 174 mph. Yeah, it's pretty awesome. Look for our first-hand driving impressions of the new car in about a month.
