We're still bewildered by the Lexus LFA. Sure, it's fast, it's pretty good-looking, and it has a banshee of a V-10 under the hood. But it's priced at about 1.5-2 times the price of cars that look just as good (or better), are just as quick (or faster) and are far more readily available.
This video gives us a peek into just one aspect of the obsessive-compulsive disorder that drove the price beyond the $375,000 mark--tuning the exhaust note not just for performance, but as a "musical instrument." To our ear, the 458 Italia does it just as well or better. But Lexus likes to do it the hard way. We're just not sure there's a point to it.
