We're smack in the midst of auto show season, just coming off the back of the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and now with the 2010 New York Auto Show upon us. The latest car to be unveiled there today is the 2011 Acura TSX Wagon, which is set to go on sale in late fall.
We told you back in October that Acura had given the TSX Sport Wagon the green light, and speculated then that it would share much of its running gear with the Honda Accord Euro Tourer, its corporate doppelganger.
The Acura TSX Wagon features a rear cargo space that includes a removable side panel to accommodate wider items such as golf clubs and integrated under-floor bins for hidden storage. The vehicle’s overall length is 189.4 inches and its wheelbase stands at 106.5 inches. Inside, there’s generous space for five adults.
Although the TSX Sedan is offered with a V-6 option, the new TSX Wagon will only come with the base 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and Sequential SportShift five-speed automatic transmission fit with steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. Peak output should fall in at 201 horsepower and fuel economy could be as high as 30 mpg on the highway.
To enhance the driving experience, the Acura TSX wagon features an optional hard disk drive-based navigation system with an 8 inch display, real time traffic and weather updates, a premium audio system and Bluetooth connectivity.
