Sporting a new 300 horsepower V-6 engine, the new ‘entry-level’ Panamera and Panamera 4 deliver Porsche driving excitement, luxury appointed comfort, and reasonable fuel economy for a sports sedan--all on a budget, in Porsche terms at least.

Coming in at a discount of almost $15,000 compared to the existing Panamera S, Panamera 4S and the Panamera Turbo, the Panamera and Panamera 4 should do well in enticing new customers to the brand as well retain a few that may have been considering some other rapid four-door.

Both models will be making their world debut at the 2010 Beijing Motor Show on April 23 before arriving in showrooms this June priced from $74,400 for the Panamera and $78,900 for the Panamera 4. In comparison, the 400 horsepower Panamera S starts at $89,800, while the all-wheel drive 4S is listed at $93,800 and the flagship Turbo starts at $132,600.
