Fans of Italian styling are anxiously awaiting Alfa Romeo's full scale return to the U.S. now that the alliance deal between the Italian auto giant and Chrysler has been well and truly signed off, but whether the Italian brand's first model to be sold locally is the recently revealed 2011 Giulietta hatchback or the upcoming replacement for the 159 sedan is still undetermined.

Either way, if the first model we get to test on local soil is the new 2011 Alfa Romeo Giulietta, we certainly won't be disappointed--at least by its styling.

The Giulietta will go up against rival hatchbacks like the Volkswagen Golf and new Ford Focus, and it will only be available as a five-door. More details and images are due closer to the car's official debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Check out all the details in the video below and then head over to a previous story for all the specs revealed thus far.
