Lamborghini’s aging Gallardo is due to be replaced next year by a brand new supercar, and we have the latest spy shots of a prototype for it. We’re still not sure what it will be called, though most suggest it will be called a Cabrera, but we are fairly certain it will come with a 600-horsepower version of the outgoing Gallardo’s 5.2-liter V-10.

Mercedes-Benz’s replacement for the CL-Class will be a new S-Class Coupe, due out next year. A concept version, however, will be presented next week at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.

Dutch inventors claim they’ve come up with a new type of gearbox that doesn’t contain any gears. The design is similar to a CVT but uses expanding discs instead of a cone to adjust the transmission ratio.
