Former F1 driver and double Le Mans winner Alex Wurz took some time out recently to test drive the 2012 Lexus LFA supercar at the Autódromo do Estoril race track in Portugal.

Wurz, who will be driving Toyota’s new hybrid Le Mans prototype this year in the FIA World Endurance Championship, came away quite impressed with the LFA after his short drive.

There’s plenty of sideways action to keep us entertained, not to mention the glorious sound of the LFA’s screaming engine.

With the Lexus packing a 4.8-liter 72-degree V-10 engine and peak output of 552 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, it’s easy to see why Wurz would fall in love with the car, though what’s really amazing is that someone who races some of the fastest four-wheel machines on the planet is still impressed by the performance of the LFA.
