In 2014 Porsche will be reliving its Le Mans glory days with a brand new LMP1 race car and a determined team of drivers and engineers.

In the lead-up to the 2014 season, Porsche has been looking at its past performance in an intimate video series detailing a 60-year history of Le Mans racing.

The first video looks at Porsche’s early days in Le Mans, while the second showcased the more successful 1970s and 1980s eras.

This third installment looks to the future and features a number of words from current Works drivers Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb, Richard Lietz, Jörg Bergmeister, Patrick Pilet, and America’s own Patrick Long.

Oh, and in case you need a reminder, Porsche has managed to amass 16 overall victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race over the years, including seven in a row from 1981 through 1987. We’re sure the new team will be gunning for similar success come 2014.
