It isn’t likely that a Ferrari or Lamborghini dealer to offer cash on the hood or some ridiculously good financing deals for one of their slower selling vehicles. However a car that can outperform some of the best cars out is getting such treatment.

Corvette Blogger is reporting that there is a growing glut of world-beating ZR1s at dealerships around the country. The number of available cars has grown from 174 in January to over 500 for the month of June. Either the market for sports cars is really drying up, the people that wanted the ZR1 have already bought them, or others are waiting for cars to start entering the used market.

The incentives to bring in customers for the 638 horsepower coupe are something you might find during a year-end clearance on a normal car. GM is offering either a $3,000 dollar rebate for 2010 models while 2009 models get a $5,000 dollar rebate. Potential owners can give up the cash for 0% APR financing for up to 60 months, which should add up to a bigger long-term savings than the rebate.

Those wanting the big $5,000 dollar rebate should be quick about it; only 11 2009 models were available at the time of the article.
