Porsche has snuck in a new Porsche out while the rest of the world was gawking at the 918 Spyder.

The Porsche GT2 is about to match its naturally-aspirated brother the GT3 RS with its own RS trim package. Looking at the source picture, the GT2 RS will get a similar center nut treatment to the GT3 RS, and will more than likely come with a plastic rear window, though the carbon fiber rear wing seems to be missing.

The GT2 was already the ultimate road-going 911. The twin turbo flat six has been tweaked to produce 523 hp and 500 ft lbs of torque. Driving through the rear wheels, the car is capable of 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds, and a 7.32 Nürburgring lap time.

Apparently there was room for improvement according to a member of Teamspeed forums. The car will be 198 pounds lighter than the standard GT2. Powerout put has increased by nearly 100 hp for a total of 620. The 0-60 has improved by 0.1 seconds, and the Nürburgring lap time is faster at 7.22 around the 12.8 mile course.  The time to get to nearly 200 is apparently 25 seconds.

Price is not going to be cheap for the Ultimate 911. European prices are going to start above €240,000 and no comparable price for America is yet to be released. The GT2 RS should start production in September.
