A new supercar to follow the classic lines of the Italian Bizzarrini Strada GT 5300 from the 60’s is being created by a small Italian firm in a partnership with AADA (African Automotive Design Association).

Design of the new Strada is being headed by Leone Martellucci from the Italian group and Jonathan Kasumba from the AADA with the new car adopting several design traits inspired from traditional African masks, representing the joint development with the African design company. The original Strada was penned by the famous Italian design house, Bertone.

Only 133 examples of the original Strada were constructed between 1965 and 1969. The legendary automobile was powered by a 5.4-litre Chevrolet Small-Block which developed a very healthy 365 hp (272 kW) of power. It will be interesting to see if this new version can live up to the legend.
