It's not secret a new king of the Ford Mustang lineup is coming. In fact, we've spied it and have even seen video of it roaming the streets of Detroit. The question is what will it be called, and that's what we asked you via a Twitter polls earlier this week.

According to your votes, the new 2018 range-topping Ford Mustang should be called the Shelby GT500. That name won out over Cobra R and Mach 1 by a landslide as you can see below.

The last Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 had 662 horsepower and 631 pound-feet of torque. The new one? Who knows, but numbers like 800 horsepower have been thrown around lately.

Naturally Ford's going to give it more than 707 horsepower because the Blue Oval want to beat those pesky Dodge boys and their Hellcats.

For those keeping score at home, the new 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is packing 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.

We live in the new Golden Age, people, one in which there seems to be a never-ending supply of horsepower.
