On August 2 Bugatti confirmed it had delivered its very first Chiron, in this case to a fan from Saudi Arabia with the Instagram handle b14.

Believed to be a member of Saudi Arabia’s Saud ruling family, the Bugatti fan has since been spotted with his Chiron in Cannes, France.

YouTube channel G-E Supercars has a video of the 1,480-horsepower hypercar wearing a Saudi Arabian license plate.

The particular car is the same navy and sky blue example Bugatti used for the Chiron’s world debut, which took place in March at the 2016 Geneva auto show. It’s thought to be a pre-production prototype and not one of the 500 production examples Bugatti plans to build over the course of the Chiron’s life cycle.

Bugatti sold the car along with its one-off Vision Gran Turismo concept to the same buyer. The company said the buyer had offered “the most convincing bid," suggesting there were others keen to get their hands on these two very special cars. Interestingly, the Vision Gran Turismo concept has also been fitted with a Saudi license plate since its sale, so perhaps we’ll see it on the road soon. Before that happens, though, it will be on display at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance which takes place on Sunday, August 21.
