Mazzanti burst onto the scene back in 2006 with the unveiling of its Antas grand tourer at the Top Marques Monaco.

A decade on the Italian firm is returning to Monaco with an enhanced version of its latest model, the Evantra supercar, the current version of which is shown below.

The Evantra debuted in 2013 with a mid-engine layout, V-8 power and a bespoke cabin with suicide-style rear-opening doors.

Since then Mazzanti has developed a revised aerodynamics package for the car.

The company tells us that it will unveil a version with a new “Biplano” wing as well as some stylistic changes at the 2016 Top Marques Monaco, which opens its doors this Thursday, April 14.

Unfortunately, that’s all we know about the enhanced Evantra. It’s likely the car will retain the Evantra’s existing 7.0-liter V-8, good for 751 horsepower and 635 pound-feet of torque. Drive should also remain to the rear wheels only, via a 6-speed sequential transmission. Mazzanti quotes a 0-60 mph time of 3.0 seconds and a top speed in excess of 225 mph for the current car.

Beyond the enhanced Evantra, Mazzanti is working on another car code-named the EV-R. It’s due to be unveiled later this year, and according to Mazzanti it will be the most powerful street-legal car to come out of Italy. That means we could be looking at a car eclipsing the 950 horsepower of the Ferrari [NYSE:RACE] LaFerrari.
