Lamborghini is diving deeper into the world of motorsports. Its Squadra Corse division aims to assist drivers across a range of disciplines, with the hopes that someday those drivers will be piloting GT3 cars bearing the mark of the bull. There's a Lamborghini driver development program that starts with current owners and sees them progress up into Super Trofeo Huracáns if they can hack it. Now, though, there's a way to find real talent from a younger pool of drivers. Lamborghini is going karting.

It's called, quite simply, the Kart Drivers Program, and it's main goal is to suss out talented youngsters. There are now four Squadra Corse-backed programs directed at younger drivers hoping for a career in the world of motorsports. To help make sure they have the best shot, Lamborghini has partnered with DR Racing Kart. This is a team that was founded by five-time world karting champ Danilo Rossi. His team handles all aspects of a successful karting program, and now it will help Lamborghini.

Those who participate in the program and show promise will be offered a chance to move on to more advanced programs. You basically move from karting to an open wheel Formula Junior program and then on to the big bulls of the Super Trofeo and GT3 races.

All of these programs show that Lamborghini is quite serious about being competitive with its cars for years to come, as it trains the next generation of Lamborghini racing drivers.
