Volvo clearly loves the word "edition".

The Swedish automaker has two new special edition models being offered up on the 2017 S60 and V60, and it's simply applying the Edition tag to the cars. That would be like Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] taking a not-so-limited vehicle, adding the word Limited to the trim, and ...wait, never mind. Say hello to the 2017 S60 and V60 Edition.

The main focus point of the Edition sedan and longroof seems to be about injecting a touch more style both inside the cabin and on the exterior. Outside, Volvo adds a choice between 17 and 18-inch wheels. Additional paint options arrive in the form of Mussel Blue and Luminous Sand, and they'll be contrasted by glossy black inserts in the front and rear fascia areas.

Inside, the Edition cars come packing standard leather seats, which are offered in either off-black or soft beige. Volvo has also added contrasting stitching to the steering wheel, and you can now option that wheel so it heats up your hands. Milled Aluminum trim bits come standard in the cabin, but Piano Black can be optionally swapped in.

Beyond the styling, Volvo adds tailpipes integrated with the bumper, retractable door mirrors, and rear park assist as standard features. Yes, it's all the extra addition in the Edition that helps make it a special edition.

The cars will be on display at the 2016 New York Auto Show, which starts Wednesday, March 23. For more from the show, head to our dedicated hub.
