Tired of having to opt for the Germans when looking for a luxury SUV with some serious performance? Well, Maserati may soon become your go-to brand as the Italian is about to enter the segment with the Levante. Due to go on sale later in the year, the Levante will offer the dynamic qualities of Maserati’s sedans, with which it shares a platform, as well as powerful V-6 and V-8 engines built by Ferrari [NYSE:RACE].

This week we managed to spot the first prototypes for Bentley’s next-generation Continental GT. We’re glad to report that the big coupe will adopt the sleek, sexy lines of Bentley’s stunning EXP 10 Speed 6 concept. The dynamic performance should also be right up there as the car is based on the new MSB platform developed by Porsche for its next-generation Panamera.

McLaren 675LT

This week we drove McLaren’s 675LT and came away thoroughly impressed with the car. The 675LT is a completely different beast to the 650S on which it’s based and is actually closer in performance and feel to the P1 flagship. Sadly, only 1,000 examples are destined to be built, split evenly between the coupe and the Spider convertible—and they’re all sold out.

Another supercar we’d love to experience is the new AF10 from British marque Arash. The latest version, which is set to debut next week at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, is said to pack a supercharged V-8 and four electric motors that deliver a combined 2,080 horsepower. The company will also use the Swiss show to present a tamer model packing 550 hp.

The heretics at Hennessey Performance have managed to extract over 1,000 horsepower from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ [NYSE:FCAU] Hellcat engine. The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 is currently offered in the Challenger and Charger from Dodge and Hennessey is capable of turning up the fun factor on either.

This week McLaren unveiled the 570GT which also debuts in Geneva and should be on sale before the year is out. It’s a more practical version of the 570S sports car that comes with a new panoramic glass roof and storage space above the engine bay. It’s also the most expensive model at present in the Sports Series range.

Yet another vehicle debuting in Geneva is the 2017 Bentley Mulsanne. The Bentley flagship has received a number of updates including a new Extended Wheelbase model that makes the big sedan even bigger. We’re talking close to 10 inches of extra length, all of which benefits those sitting in the rear. The pick of the bunch, however, remains the 530-hp Mulsanne Speed.

2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe

Mercedes-Benz has decided to group its AMG Sport models like the C450 AMG as official Mercedes-AMG products, and together with the reshuffle rechristen the cars with a “43” designation to better reflect their positioning in the performance hierarchy. The transition started with the 2017 SLC43 from the SLC sports car range and now continues with the C43 as part of the C-Class range. The first C43, the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe, was revealed this week ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

There will be plenty of action starting Tuesday, March 1 as the doors to the Geneva Motor Show finally open. We've put together a quick rundown of the highlights in our Geneva preview and for our complete coverage on the event simply visit our dedicated hub.
