A new front-end design includes a chrome-accented dual-port grille, projector-beam headlamps across the lineup, daytime running lamps on LT and LTZ models, fog lamps on LTZ. At the rear, new dual-element taillamps and a revised license plate attachment top a redesigned lower bumper cover, over chrome exhaust outlets on V-6 models. New 17-inch wheels are available for LS models, and LT and LTZ models now offer available blind zone and cross-traffic alert systems.

On the inside, a standard seven-inch Color Touch radio display with Bluetooth phone connectivity and rear-view camera, plus enhanced interior fabrics, are standard on L and LS trims, while all models get a revised central dash are with a new storage shelf and a new chrome-trimmed shift lever with redesigned Electronic Range Selector button placement, and available Saddle Up interior color.
Speaking of all of these trims, Chevy is simplifying the trim range for 2016, cutting out 1LT and 2LT to leave just the L, LS, LT, and LTZ lines.

Two engines are available, the same as last year’s Equinox: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder rated at 182 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque; and a 3.6-liter V-6 good for 301 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque.
On the tech front, OnStar with 4G LTE and a WiFi hotspot is available on all models and trim levels, while LT and LTZ get Chevrolet MyLink infotainment, too.
