Primed to take on the Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type, and Chevy Corvette—among others—the Mercedes-AMG GT just recently made its web debut. At the 2014 Paris Auto Show, a special Edition 1 version of the car is expected.

Images leaked (via Autocar) ahead of the official announcement reveal a car that’s almost visually identical to the AMG GT we’ve already seen, but wrapped in a deep metallic gray paint job with black-and-polished wheels.

Other minor tweaks include carbon fiber accents to the front spoiler, air ducting, and door sills, as well as a less-subtle fixed rear wing.

The interior of the car is thought to offer yellow accent stitching and details, as well as Edition 1 badges.

Otherwise, the AMG GT Edition 1 is expected to be mechanically identical to the 503-hp 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8-powered GT S version previously announced.

Full details and images of the Mercedes-AMG GT Edition 1 will be forthcoming during the press days for the 2014 Paris Auto Show, October 2-3.
