Land Rover used this week’s 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show to announce its 2015 model year updates. The big news is the introduction of the all-new Discovery Sport, which goes on sale early next year priced from $38,920 with a $925 shipping charge. It will be available exclusively with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, rated at 240 horsepower and paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle will also feature a ‘5+2’ seating arrangement, which is relatively unique in the small SUV segment.

Interestingly, Land Rover plans to continue selling its LR2 in the 2015 model year. The new Discovery Sport serves as the replacement for the LR2, but Land Rover is keeping the older model on the market. The LR2 features the same engine as the Discovery Sport but only a six-speed auto. It also only has five seats. To sweeten the deal, Land Rover is offering some special packages that add more standard equipment. The 2015 LR2 is priced from $37,585 with shipping.

The 2015 LR4 also features side steps as standard. Pricing for this model starts at $51,325 with shipping.
