Second Bugatti Veyron 'Legend' special-edition teased for Frankfurt

Second Bugatti Veyron 'Legend' special-edition teased for Frankfurt

The Bugatti Veyron has long, long legs. It's been on the market since 2005 in one form or another, evolving over the better part of the past decade from its original 1,000-horsepower specification to a range of Grand Sport, Grand Sport Vitesse, and limited-edition models. A new special edition will join the flock at Frankfurt.

While all Bugatti has given us so far is this teaser image (enhanced version above; original image below), we can infer from its Facebook announcement of the car that it will be a new Legend edition of the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, much like the Bugatti Legend 'Jean-Pierre Wimille' Veyron shown at Pebble Beach last month.

The Wimille car was painted a delicious shade of sky blue, called Wimille Bleu; this new Legend appears to be a darker shade of blue.

As explained with the launch of the Wimille Legend Veyron, this line of special editions is intended to tie Bugatti's present back to its past, while also telling the brand's story. The new car to be revealed at Frankfurt will be the second in a planned six-car set.

We'll be live at the Frankfurt Auto Show, so be sure to follow our dedicated Frankfurt hub page for all of the latest and greatest to come to the show.
