Martini Racing is set to make a return to international motorsport this weekend, with the famous logo of the Italian distillery set to appear on a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race car competing in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race preceding the Formula One Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona’s Circuito de Catalunya.

There will be two 911 GT3 Cup racers donning the Martini livery, which, as this photo confirms, looks particularly inviting.

One of the cars will be driven by racing legend Sébastien Loeb, while the driver for the second car is yet to be announced.

Though the Martini logo has featured in top motorsport categories such as F1 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the past, for its return the company is taking baby steps.

It’s entirely appropriate that Martini’s return to motorsport is together with Porsche, however. Martini's first motorsport sponsorship program was for two Porsche 906 race cars that competed in various sports car formats back in 1968.

And, just as Porsche is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its iconic 911 sports car this year, Martini is celebrating its own 150th anniversary. It was formed in 1963 by businessman Alessandro Martini, winemaker Luigi Rossi and accountant Teofilo Sola.

Ferrari 458 Spider by A. Kahn Design

This beauty is an A. Kahn Design-enhanced Ferrari 458 Spider, which is finished in Ferrari’s own Grigio Alloy hue but wears some unique elements added by the popular British tuner. The blacked-out section of the rear bar is our favorite feature, as it reminds us a little of the 360 Modena.

This menacing beast is the insane Nissan Juke-R, of which there are only four examples in the world and one of them we’ve just driven. It was only a short drive, as the cars cost a staggering 500,000 euros (approximately $653,000) each, but check it out in our video.

This model is called the TF-X, and unlike the Transition, which requires a runway for takeoff and landing, it has been designed with a vertical takeoff and landing system.

Mercedes-Benz at the Mille Miglia

Mercedes-Benz announced this week that it is now the official automotive sponsor of the Mille Miglia Storica, the modern version of the Mille Miglia. That means we have plenty of photos of some of the legendary Mercedes race cars that drove the 1,000 miles from Brescia to Rome and back up until the last race in 1957.

2014 Subaru WRX STI spy shots

A prototype for Subaru’s next-generation WRX was spotted at the Nürburgring recently, and this time our photographer managed to put together a video of the car. Sadly, the exterior resembles that of the latest Impreza, despite Subaru’s promises for greater differentiation between it and its new WRX.

That's it for this week. And if for some reason you aren't already following Motor Authority, we highly recommend you look us up on Twitter and Facebook after you subscribe to our YouTube channel.
