Since late October Ferrari has been running an exhibition at its official museum in Maranello, Italy dedicated to the late Sergio Pininfarina, a legendary designer responsible for the look of many of the automaker’s most significant cars of the past six decades.

Though originally scheduled to close on January 7, Ferrari, in accordance with the Pininfarina family, has decided to prolong the exhibition until February 24.

The exhibition has been experiencing record numbers of visitors since opening, including registering more than a 1,000 on a single day.

It’s certainly worth a visit if you can make it out to Maranello. The exhibition is broken up into three different halls, one each for race cars, concepts and production cars. Some of the highlights include the 275 GTB4, the Testarossa concept and the more recent 599 SA Aperta.

There’s also a mural showing every Ferrari ever penned by Sergio Pininfarina, including some works that have never before been shown to the public. There are also design elements such as the wooden styling buck of the original Modulo concept car and some unfinished works.

One new attraction at the Ferrari Museum is the Structuration F1 Ferrari sculpture, which was recently inaugurated with the help of the automaker’s Formula One drivers Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso. Located right at the entrance of the museum, the sculpture features an F1 car fixed inside a complex steel structure.

In case you’re interested in visiting the exhibition, tickets cost approximately $17 and can be booked online via the website www.museoferrari.com.
