The Lamborghini LP 700-4 Aventador Roadster boasts a 6.5-liter, 691-horsepower V-12 capable of propelling the open-air supercar from 0-60 mph in under three seconds, on the way to a top speed of 217 mph.

Unlike the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, which used a complicated and ungainly soft top, the Aventador Roadster gets a two-piece carbon fiber roof that’s both functional and elegant, and it’s designed to be stowed in the front compartment when driver and passenger are enjoying the fresh air.

Inside, the focus is on hand-crafted luxury, with Sabbia Nefertem leather wrapping the seats and trim panels, offsetting the car’s exterior hue. To up fuel economy (never the first reason to buy a Lamborghini), the Aventador Roadster benefits from cylinder deactivation, while lighter-weight forged wheels further up performance.

If you want to park an Aventador Roadster in your garage, be prepared to add your name to a lengthy list, with deliveries taking over one year from the time your order is confirmed at the factory.

Or, you can take delivery of an Aventador Roadster in Las Vegas, Nevada, this August, while helping support One Night for ONE DROP, a charitable event that coincides with World Water Day (March 22) and works toward a goal of enough clean water for every human being on earth.

Bids for the open-air Aventador can be placed on the Charitybuzz website until Thursday, April 4. The current bid of $460,000 is barely enough to cover the price of the car, let alone its expedited delivery, so we hope the winning bidder is far more generous.

If your bank account can’t handle an Aventador Roadster, perhaps a meeting with Jay Leno and private tour of his car collection is more your style; the current bid is just $4,250, meaning you could be shaking hands with the car-guy’s-car-guy for as little as $4,500.

You’ll find all of the items up for auction in support of One Night for ONE DROP on the Chartybuzz/ONEDROP website.
