Any good Concours d’Elegance event is equal parts car show and celebration of the luxury lifestyle. If you’re in the one-percent, there’s plenty of opportunity to display your net worth; if you’re not, the chance to mingle with the ultra-rich while taking in the world’s best collector cars is usually worth the price of admission.

We have events like Pebble Beach and Amelia Island, but Britain has events like the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Salon Prive. A relatively new event, Salon Prive bills itself as “the Luxury Supercar Event & Concours d’Elegance,” and is now entering its seventh year.

This year’s Salon Prive will take place at West London’s Syon Park on September 5-7, and will highlight 25 years of the Ferrari F40 and 60 years of the Mercedes-Benz Gullwing.

Also on display will be 18 of the 22 cars contained in the ROFGO Gulf Collection, owned by Adrian Hamilton. The purpose-built race cars are instantly recognizable by their light blue and orange livery, and range in dates from 1967 (a Mirage run at Le Mans) to 2010 (a Lamborghini Gallardo run in the GT2 Championship).

In celebration of what the organizers are calling a “somewhat Italian theme,” there will also be a display of Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera Disco Volante models, including the Disco Volante 2012 displayed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

Jay Kay’s Ferrari 330 GT Vignale shooting brake will be on hand (as will Jay Kay himself), and confirmed exhibitors include Aston Martin, AMG, Ferrari, Noble and Eterniti.

Complete details on scheduled events and ticketing can be found on the Salon Prive website.
