Under the hood sits a 240-horsepower, 406 pound-foot 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 engine, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. That big torque figure puts the diesel ahead of even the much more powerful Cayenne S, and should make for enjoyable dynamics, if not quite as heady a rush at the top end of the tachometer.
