Italdesign Giugiaro Brivido teaser

Italdesign Giugiaro Brivido teaser

Last year legendary Italian design house Italdesign Giugiaro used the Geneva Motor Show to unveil a pair of hatchback concepts badged as Volkswagens, which signified not only the firm’s new ownership by the German auto giant but also to preview a possible future design direction for VW.

Italdesign Giugiaro is now planning a new concept for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, which kicks off next week, and to build up excitement has released three teaser videos--the most recent revealing the name "Brivido."

From what little detail the first two videos reveal, it’s hard to tell which part of the concept vehicle we’re looking at though if we had to guess we’d say it’s part of the rear. The third shows a stylized representation of the side profile as well.

More teasers and details are due in the lead up to the Geneva Motor Show, press days for which commence on March 6.

Interestingly, fellow Italian design houses Bertone, Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, and Pininfarina have all previewed new concepts planned for the upcoming show, and you can bet even more designs will drop before opening day.

Stay tuned for an update.
