If you managed to miss the last time John Lennon’s Ferrari was up for sale at auction, you’ve got one more chance, as it didn’t sell last time.

The Ferrari 330GT that Lennon drove at what was perhaps the height of the Beatlemania era is back, and the car will go on the auction block at the Bonhams’ July 12 sale, to be held at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, in Chichester, UK.

According to Bonhams, Lennon used this 330GT 2+2 extensively over the course of a three-year period, covering more than 20,000 miles, from when it was new until October 1967.

The current owner acquired it in the late 1980s, when it ended up at Modena Ferrari, painted red and separated from its number plate. It was then “lovingly restored to its original specification,” with Azzuro Blue paint and blue interior.

Even not considering the Lennon history, this is one of 500 built and is a proper, numbers-matching car. What's more, the market is a bit better than it was two years ago, so it could be to the seller's benefit to have waited. Expect to pay 180,000 to 220,000 pounds, or the equivalent of $275,000 to $335,000.
