First crashed 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Thanks to a brutish 563 horsepower V-8 engine, go-kart like throttle response and a populace with declining driving skills (thanks mostly in part to the proliferation of safety aids meant to protect us), it was only a matter of time before we would be reporting on the first crashed 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

This latest crash took place somewhere in Russia and actually involved the pictured red SLS AMG hitting a Lada. Fortunately, the drivers of both cars were left uninjured. The Mercedes-Benz supercar on the other hand looks a little worse for wear and will likely require an expensive repair bill. Hopefully, the driver of the vehicle was fully insured.

After watching the video below, check out Nelson Ireson’s driving report of the car along the route of the classic Carrera Panamericana over at MotorAuthority.com.
