2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall on certain versions of its E350 4MATIC Wagon due to a potential issue involving the affected cars’ rear suspension.

The recall only affects 2007 to 2009 E350 4MATIC Wagons built from July 1, 2006, through to April 30, 2009.

There are approximately 3,613 vehicles affected by the recall in the U.S.

According to the automaker, a connected rod for the load-leveling rear suspension system may fail. Should this occur, the driver may have reduced vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owners of the affected vehicles are recommended to take their car to their nearest Mercedes-Benz dealer who will inspect the car and replace the controlling rod in question free of charge.
