We are also launching for the first time MotorAuthority Forums, which will have a dedicated thread for every posted story and is linked to the comments system. In response to reader feedback, heated discussions on older stories can now continue, unabated, in this section. Old stories that already have comments have been closed due to the nature of our new reader registration system but you are free to open a thread for the same topic in our forums and continue the discussion there. We realize this is a small setback for some readers however it was the best approach for the site to move forward.
Our RSS feed has also been revamped and now displays more text, the main image, and links to the story galleries.

Great job! I really like the new look! Motor Authority has been one of my favorite source of automotive news and surely it will remain that way. Thanks!
One thing though: the advertisements are a little irritating. I know it helps but at least keep it away from the top most portion (the MA banner should be there) and the article. =)

Yes but I cant say its any better than what it was, it being already a great site.
Where is this forum you rave about?
I know I'm typing in it now but there is no button/link that says forum. You have to click on an article register to comment and I assume you enter the forum by clicking on the linked tags on the bottom right hand corner of the page.
The home button?
When you finally find the forums the home button takes you to the home page on the forums and not the home page of your site, annoying!
Why are the comments kept only so many to a page?
Where as before they ran the full length of the page. No one clicks through several pages, scrolling is so much better.
Passwords?
Another password to write down and lose, great!
Yes I love the new look but once again the old site was simple it was the google auto of sites and now? I just cant say I get it.
Thankfully the content is the same quality and lets just hope you dont decide that that to is not broken but to fix it anyway.

We will be promoting the forums a lot more in the next couple of days. Our goal was to first launch the site and make sure everything worked properly before concentrating on pushing new users to the forums.
The way the website comments work is that you'll never have to visit the forums if you choose not to. Readers can still read and write stories directly on the website with no interaction on the forums. Yes there is a password involved, but the new system will also avoid the problem of having two different "chris" usernames in one thread. It'll also allow you to go back and search for your previous posts.
I will fix the home link on the forums to point to the website.
Over the next coming days you'll see a lot more features and cool ways to interact with the website. The new website might look complex but we'll work to make sure it's always easy to use. Please feel free to use the contact form to send us any bugs or suggestions for the site.

Although this new version looks very impressive, I'm not very happy about the functionality, before I could comment without having to register. There no link to the forums from the original site, and there's no link back. The articles less appealing to access also. This site received some serious upgrades but, I liked the old better.
