Dutch car designer Michiel van den Brink has just unveiled his next project after the stunning
599/630 GTO – a hardtop convertible based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. Ferrari itself has not managed to produce a convertible version of its most powerful production car, however there’s clearly been demand for such a product. Well-heeled buyers will be able to buy the Vandenbrink “GT Convertible” on special order. The hardtop will be built using lightweight carbon fibre so chances are that extra weight will be minimised.
In a statement made today, the company also confirmed that it would produce limited edition versions of cars based on the Audi R8, Spyker C8, and Corvette Z06 platforms.
The Vandenbrink “GT Convertible” was shown to an audience at the Cercle Deluxe 2007 fair in Vienna. Expect more technical and price details in the near future. In the meantime you can check out Vandenbrink’s previous car, the
599 GTO.
