Supercars selling like hot-cakes in the Middle East

It used to be that the US was home to most of the European exotics but today more and more ultra-exclusive supercars are ending up in the deserts of the Middle East, namely the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Demand for European sports cars is surging in the region, with some dealers experiencing triple digit growth.

Most of the demand is riding on the back of high oil prices, strong economic growth and the increasing popularity of F1, reports
This is a story echoed by most of the exotic brands including Germany’s Ruf, which has established a $20 million plant in Bahrain. Once again Kuwait is its largest market and it also has its highest number of female buyers here.

But of course! You didn't really think that oil was really this expensive due to supply and demand or any other bullshit, right?

It's good to know that our petrodollars are going to supply semi-illiterate desert sheiks with toys they can hardly appreciate. Enjoy them while you can because once oil runs out (or is no longer needed) you're all going to go back to herding - and buggering - camels.

    Bastards...

Hector, what makes you think they can’t appreciate them as much as you, the fact that YOU can’t afford them?

Take your jealousy elsewhere. The world has enough ignorant assholes.

If everyone stops driving large gas guzzling SUVs and drove small cars or hybrid cars instead, demand for petrol would plummet and these sheiks would be broke. But of course, driving small or hybrid cars is un-American, isn't it?
