2011 Nissan Juke--Box Coming Soon To a Campus Near You

The last couple of years have been all about the boxy vehicles, but now we are starting to see them morph in to Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUVs). One such vehicle is the... March 11, 2010 by

Why should I also consider these?

Nearly all the vehicles in this class offer very respectable safety features and comfortable interiors that are good enough for the needs of a small family, or for people who need a little more space to haul ‘stuff.’ The Chevrolet Equinox has been freshly redesigned, with a new, more fuel-efficient base four-cylinder engine and much-improved interior appointments.

Meanwhile, the Honda CR-V is a sales leader, with a very roomy, almost minivan-like interior—though the styling is definitely not universally appealing.

The Toyota RAV4 is one of few vehicles in this class to offer a third-row seat, though it’s barely even usable for kids.

2009 Chevrolet Equinox
With mediocre handling and fuel economy, the 2009 Chevrolet Equinox isn’t that appealing, but it still offers superior cabin space.

2009 Subaru Forester
It’s significantly improved this year, but the 2009 Subaru Forester remains a unique all-wheel-drive crossover with less power and fewer features, but better carlike handling, than its competition.

2008 Honda CR-V
The 2008 Honda CR-V doesn't have hip style or performance on tap, but it has the security, utility, and frugality that many sensible moms want.

2008 Toyota RAV4
The 2008 Toyota RAV4 brings a little more space than most compact SUVs without a mid-size price.
