There are no other full-hybrid, full-size luxury sedans on the market, though the closest is the mild-hybrid BMW ActiveHybrid 7 model, the quickest V-8 model in its 7-Series line.
Audi's low-volume W-12 top-end A8 and the V-12 version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class get worse gas mileage, but come with the smoothness of their many cylinders and bragging rights to the finest German engineering.
In a similar vein, the Bentley Continental Flying Spur uses a similar W-12 to the Audi's, in a four-door sedan body that prioritizes British leather and wood for the A8's high-tech touches.
All of these cars are meatier and more substantial from behind the wheel than the Lexus LS hybrid, and we doubt that their owners much care about fuel efficiency.
Which leaves the Lexus LS 600h L in a class of one, really.
