2010 Nissan Armada Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Storage is a dream in the Armada. This is the first time I can ever remember having too many storage areas in a car; I didn't have enough stuff to fill all the cubbies, eight cupholders and cargo area. It's a miracle. Even my voyage to Costco couldn't push this baby past capacity. In addition to the enormous cargo area, there are not one, not two, but six storage compartments in the ceiling. If you opt for the DVD entertainment system, one of these ceiling cubbies would be taken away. I stored books for my kids in one of the ceiling cubbies, which was a novel and useful storage solution. 2010 Nissan Armada Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The 5.6-liter V-8 engine, mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, really can't be faulted. Off-road, the powertrain has plenty of grunt, and the 20-inch tires work reasonably well in the mud, but this isn't exactly a mountain goat. The test Armada is the top-of-the-line Platinum edition, which comes with virtually every feature you night want: The only option was $220 worth of mats, which brought the total price to $53,190, not cheap but not out of line with comparable models. As you might expect, the future of some of the full-sized SUVs is in question, given gas prices and the sagging... |

Of this group, the 2010 Nissan Armada is still, to most, the best-looking, and it has a strong V-8, but in most other respects the rivals have it beat.
The Toyota Sequoia became bigger and burlier with the last redesign of the full-size Titan, but it's a bit of a gas-guzzler with either of its V-8 engines.
Ford's Expedition has an especially well-designed interior, though its performance lags other competitors.
GM's full-size SUVs, including the Tahoe, were completely redesigned for 2007 and continue to stand out for their excellent handling and fuel-efficient powertrains, while still being as responsive if not downright powerful.
The Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid might be worth consideration if you just can't get past the fuel economy issue.
