2011 mazda mx-5 miata Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...Fuel economy is also impressive at an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city/28 mpg highway and 24 mpg in combined driving for the five-speed manual. The six-speed manual and automatic sacrifice only 1 mpg in city mileage. Safety: Antilock disc brakes and side airbags are standard. Stability control is available as an option on the Grand Touring model only, however. Interior Design and Special Features: Sitting behind the wheel of a 2011 Mazda Miata, you'll get the feeling that you're wearing the car, rather than sitting in it. The fit is snug for average-sized adults, but not cramped. Taller drivers... |

2011 Mazda Miata MX-5 Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The base model still gets you air conditioning, power windows and a good six-speaker sound system. Not enough? The more deluxe Touring model starts at $25,450, and the top-of-the-line Grand Touring model is $26,710. Our tester was a Grand Touring Miata, and yes, the leather upholstery and Bose sound system were nice, as were the larger 17-inch tires and alloy wheels. But there's a purity to the Miata that makes the base model attractive - certainly the optional power retractable hardtop is wonderful, but the manual fold-down top is so easy to use that the retractable top is an unnecessary... |

2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata — Flash DriveSource: MSN Autos...On slower-speed roads, it feels as if you're slicing through corners with precision and skill. I guess that's good for your driving record, and I know it's good for your sense of fun. It's just a big blast without being scary. And it's far too much fun to be just a girl's car. –Paul HaggerWith the demise of Saturn and Pontiac, the MX-5 is once again the only 2-seat roadster in its class. Mazda has done a wonderful job evolving the MX-5 to be a more useful everyday vehicle without losing the essence of what it was originally: a lightweight, inexpensive, fun-to-drive roadster. The small... |

2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata OverviewSource: CarGurus...There's a scant 5.3 cubic feet of storage, which is enough for a bag of groceries, maybe two.If you start with the Sport trim, you get 16-inch wheels and the fabric soft top, a six-speaker stereo system with an input for an MP3 player, and power windows and mirrors. The Touring trim adds 1 inch to the diameter of the wheels, remote keyless entry, and a trip computer. You'll also get access to your stereo from the steering wheel and power locks. And the Grand Touring trim caps it with a seven-speaker Bose sound system and automatic climate control. Leather seating is also available.Keep in... |

2011 Mazda Miata MX-5 Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...With this setup, the top doesn't intrude on the 5.3-cubic-foot trunk, which is decently large for a car this size. It's pretty breezy in the cabin with the top down, even when driving at city speeds. On the highway, taller people will feel the air buffeting the top of their head and rushing around them. The retractable hardtop doesn't restrict visibility that much when up. Checking your left-side blind spot means leaning forward a little to see around the roof support, but you get a good view when checking the right-side one; the roof pillar isn't big enough to completely obscure another car... |

When equipped with the five- or six-speed manual, it produces 167 hp. The difference comes from a higher redline with the manual: 7,200 rpm, rather than 6,700 rpm with the automatic.
