The backseat's two sections slide forward and backward, which is handy if you happen to have a child-safety seat attached to one of them and want to bring it closer to the front seats so it's easier to reach. While the Lexus RX 350 reigns supreme in delivering on luxury, it's more of a Costco-style everyman's luxury; it just doesn’t stand out the way some other vehicles in this class do.
Dynamically, the Acura MDX is a better-handling vehicle, and all of the other competitors listed offer available V-8 engine options that transmit much more power.
And the Audi Q7 and BMW X5 now have available turbodiesel engines, bringing better fuel economy with near-V-8 power.
If you need additional room for kids, the Cadillac, BMW, and Audi all come with small third-row seats.
