2011 Lexus LFA OverviewSource: CarGurus...The company claims it’s the same procedure used to tune the sound of an Ovation guitar, although the analogy isn’t immediately apparent.Regardless, it sounds good.I’d be lax to ignore the 15.4-inch front and 14.2-inch carbon ceramic brake discs, pinched by six- and four-piston Brembo calipers, respectively. And I’m sure there’d be complaints if I failed to mention the rear-mounted radiators – another nod to the weight-distribution gods. Truly, there’s a lot to mention about the LFA, and we’ve only gotten technical up to this point. All of this ignores the fact that the LFA just... |

2012 lexus lfa Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...In Edmunds brake testing, the LFA came to a stop from 60 mph in 106 feet. Interior Design and Special Features: In true Japanese form, the LFA's cabin has a high-tech, futuristic vibe to it. The ornate, digital gauges are the epitome of 21st-century cool, while the use of Lexus' smart electronics interface means the LFA isn't besmirched by the sort of compromised (and borderline awful) controls of other exotic sports cars. In true Lexus tradition, the cabin is also exquisitely built, though to an even greater degree that speaks to its hand-built construction. Thankfully, very few bits and... |

2012 Lexus LFA Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...That said, the overall design of the interior is distinct, with the driver's seat serving as the focal point. The driver faces a large circular digital instrument panel that incorporates a circular tachometer, digital speedometer, gear counter and additional car information. The tachometer fades to red when engine speed passes 9,000 rpm, alerting the driver that it's time to shift. The heated leather bucket seats feature power adjustment. Under the Hood The rear-wheel-drive LFA's 4.8-liter V-10 engine makes 552 hp at 8,700 rpm and 354 pounds-feet of torque at 6,800 rpm. The LFA weighs around... |

The Ferrari 458 Italia offers everything the LFA does, and more: prestige, heritage, truly impressive performance and handling, cachet, and instant recognizability.
There are many reasons to own a supercar, and the 458 Italia does almost all of them better.
The fact that Chevrolet's Corvette ZR1 can even be mentioned in the same breath with a car that costs more than three times as much illustrates how short of the mark Lexus fell on performance, though the LFA's interior does outrank the Corvette's.
If that interior and the rarity of the LFA are worth the price of a Ferrari 458 Italia on top of the ZR1's sticker price, then the LFA is for you. Other options include the upcoming McLaren MP4-12C and Lamborghini Aventador, though the former isn't yet available and the latter is already sold out through its first year of production.
