2011 Hyundai Sonata Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The SE trim, which promises a sportier driving experience, gets 18-inch wheels, a sport-tuned suspension and an engine that's tuned a bit more energetically, bumping power to 200 hp. Overall, the Sonata performs well for its class but doesn't handle like an Accord. Nor does it have the solid acceleration of a four-cylinder Nissan Altima or Mazda6. Features Starting at $19,195, the Sonata is $200 less than a Camry and $500 less than a Fusion when all are equipped with manual transmissions. Adding an automatic brings the Sonata's price up to $20,195. At that, you get standard 16-inch steel... |

2011 Hyundai Sonata Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a hybrid model are scheduled to arrive later in 2010. Safety Six airbags are standard, as are active front head restraints, an electronic stability system with traction control, and antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist. Hyundai Sonata Hybrid The Sonata Hybrid combines a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with a 30-kilowatt electric motor for a total output of 209 hp, which is slightly more than the base four-cylinder Sonata's output. Hyundai says overall gas mileage will be 37/39 mpg city/highway, putting it ahead of the... |

2011 Hyundai Sonata Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Read my review of the standard four-cylinder 2011 Sonata for more impressions on the styling and interior. Prices & Features There are only two trim levels for the 2.0T: SE and Limited. Pricing starts at $24,145 and $27,045, respectively. For the SE, that’s a $1,550 price difference over the base's 200-hp four-cylinder engine; the turbo Limited costs $1,750 more than the regular Limited. Competitors like the Accord and Camry offer four-cylinder and V-6 options rather than turbocharged four-cylinders, and the V-6s aren’t cheap. The 2011 Toyota Camry LE V6 starts at $24,890, which... |

2011 Hyundai Sonata: Flash DriveSource: MSN Autos...–Paul HaggerThe all-new Sonata is one of the best family sedans on the market. The new design is distinctive enough to set it apart from the competition without looking unusual. The car's interior is very clean with quality materials and simple, straightforward controls. With a fuel economy rating of 35 mpg highway and the elimination of an available V6 engine, I was pleasantly surprised that power wasn't lacking at all. The 200 horsepower 4-cylinder engine with the 6-speed automatic is all you need for most situations. But the best part of the Sonata is the amazing value. A nice-looking... |

The new Sonata banks on swoopy lines and fuel economy to draw shoppers away from the class leaders.
Of all its competitors, it seems geared the most at the highly-rated Ford Fusion, which was refurbished for 2010 with a new interior, a bolder grille and neater dynamics.
The Nissan Altima’s also close kin, with big interior room and probably the best handling of all these four-doors, though its interior lacks the panache of the Sonata.
The large Honda Accord still has an elusive quality feel that few cars can match, though its styling has not aged as well as Honda may have hoped.
Finally, the Camry and Malibu are the conservative choices here, with an emphasis on quieter, more luxurious transportation.
