2010 dodge challenger Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...Fuel economy registers an EPA-estimated 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway and 20 mpg in combined driving for the V6 Challenger SE. The R/T is nearly as efficient at 16/25/19 mpg with the automatic transmission -- the manual gets 1 mpg less overall. The SRT8 is the thirstiest of the bunch, at 14/22/16 mpg. Safety: All 2010 Dodge Challenger models feature stability control and side curtain airbags as standard safety equipment. Antilock disc brakes with brake assist are standard on R/T and SRT8 models and available as an option on SE models. In the rain, these brakes keep the pads close to the rotors... |

2010 Dodge Challenger Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...Even so, I expected better thrift from the V-6 — especially when V-6 versions of the Camaro and Mustang make more power and get better gas mileage. The big reason for this is the slotlike windshield and low roofline, which severely limit how far you... |

2010 Dodge Challenger Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The Challenger's engine hums, while the Mustang's roars. The Challenger's steering wheel has a secure on-center feel at high speeds, and at lower speeds it turns with comfortably smooth — if not particularly precise — movements. Highway ride quality is excellent: The suspension damps out bumps with few reverberations, and road and wind noise are subdued. How it Drives: Challenger R/T The good: The R/T irons out most of the SE's failings, and it doesn't introduce any new ones. The bad: It still isn't as quick as you might think. Blame the weight. With two tons of car to move, Chrysler's... |

The muscle-car revival is still in full force, with the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro replaying an old rivalry.
Only this time, all three cars are a lot more practical and day-to-day livable.
The 2010 Dodge Challenger has the most usable backseat of the three, but none of them are particularly spacious.
Relative to the Mustang and Camaro, the Challenger has a bit more space for front-seat occupants and would likely be more comfortable for a road trip.
The V-6 SE model matches reasonably well against the Mustang V-6, but the Camaro’s V-6, now with more than 300 horsepower, easily beats them and is a step above in refinement.
At the top of the range, the Camaro SS and Mustang GT match up nicely with the Challenger SRT8, but the powerful Shelby GT500 Mustang holds a huge horsepower advantage over the SRT8.
One other new model to consider is the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, an all-new rear-wheel-drive coupe that has a completely different flavor but takes on V-6 models of the Mustang and Camaro.
