2010 chevrolet malibu Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...Fuel economy stands at 17/26/20. Safety: Standard safety equipment includes antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags and side curtain airbags. OnStar emergency telematics is also included. In brake testing, a six-cylinder Malibu 2LT came to a stop from 60 mph in a fade-free 122 feet -- a short distance for this class. Strangely, a four-cylinder Malibu with different 17-inch tires we tested provided a much different result -- a disappointing 140 feet. In government crash tests, the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu scored a perfect five stars in all frontal and side crash... |

2010 Chevrolet Malibu Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...The Malibu's interior reflects attention to detail and upgraded materials. The front seats were covered in a handsome combination of two-tone leather. The instrument panel has a dual-cockpit design. Three gauges, trimmed with chrome, sit in a large pod. Blue backlighting is easy on the eyes at night, and tiny blue LEDs shine on the center console and light up the door handles at night. A storage compartment atop the dash is good for sunglasses or maps, while the center console is deep enough to hold large items. The LTZ test car had a strip of thin wood-grain trim that ran across the doors... |

2010 Chevrolet Malibu Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...But the Malibu handily out-handles its Toyota rival: Encounter a curvy road, and the car points where you want with unexpected precision. The Camry and Hyundai Sonata feel nose-heavy in comparison, unschooled at quick maneuvers. While the Malibu is no Honda Accord or Mazda6, the fact that it comes close — and rides far better — deserves praise. (I'd be remiss not to point out that Suzuki's new Kizashi packs nimbler handling, with remarkably generous ride comfort to match.) The Malibu steers with light effort at low speeds, but its 40.4-foot turning circle is embarrassingly wide. (A Chevy... |

2010 Chevrolet Malibu Professional Cars.com ReviewSource: Cars.com...There are also two bottleholders. My boys had plenty of legroom in the backseat. There are also two seatback pockets that are great for stashing books and other large items for the kids. My husband, who doesn't say much, enjoyed the standard satellite radio as we listened to a few comedy channels on the way to pick up our boys, getting in our last laughs after a date night. IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS THAT COUNT Storage Compartments (Puny, Fair, Ample, Galore): Ample Cargo/Trunk Space (Puny, Fair, Ample, Galore): Ample SAFETY Despite my initial fear that our booster seats would be too wide for... |

The Malibu's base four-cylinder teams with a four-speed automatic transmission in LS and LT trim levels, or drives a six-speed automatic in the LT and LTZ. Buyers get a significant horsepower gain by stepping up to the optional V-6, which always drives a six-speed automatic. 169-horsepower, 2.4-liter... |

While the Fusion and the Altima will give you a more thrilling drive than the Malibu, neither of them is as roomy or comfortable inside.
This is especially true in the backseat, where the Malibu, along with the Camry and Accord, is very roomy.
The Malibu is further differentiated from its rivals when it comes to interior styling, putting cars like the Camry to shame with its attractive dashboard and premium-feeling materials.
The Fusion and Accord, however, feature interiors that arguably are just as good as the Malibu’s.
The Hyundai Sonata, though comfortable, isn’t quite up to scratch.
