2011 cadillac cts-v Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...In government frontal crash tests, the CTS earned four stars (out of a possible five) for the driver and five stars for front passenger protection. The CTS also received a five-star government rating for both front- and rear-seat passenger protection in side-impact crashes. Interior Design and Special Features: First, the bad news: The 2011 CTS-V's interior isn't much different from that of the regular CTS model. Now the good news: The CTS already sports one of the nicer passenger compartments in the segment. The overall look is high-class, with an attractive and functional layout for gauges... |

2012 cadillac cts-v wagon Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...Interior Design and Special Features: First, the bad news: The 2012 CTS-V wagon's interior isn't much different from that of the regular wagon. Now the good news: The CTS already sports one of the nicer passenger compartments in the segment. The overall look is high-class, with an attractive and functional layout for gauges and controls. Materials aren't the best in class, but they're generally high quality and a noticeable improvement over those used in previous Cadillacs. The cabin's most significant shortcoming is the design of the standard front seats, which lack both the comfort and... |

The overall look is high-class, with an attractive and functional layout for gauges and controls. Materials aren't the best in class, but they're generally high quality. The faux suede seat inserts and steering wheel/shift knob trim are an especially nice touch. The cabin's most significant shortcoming is a driving position that can be awkward for some, and... |

2012 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe OverviewSource: CarGurus...Cadillac is trying hard to compete with some stout entrants like the BMW M5 and the Mercedes C63 AMG, and while performance is not an issue here – the CTS-V held a record for the fastest lap of a 4-door production sedan at the Nürburgring – the luxury doesn’t always match up. Interior materials aren’t of the same quality of competitors, and there have been continued complaints about the long-distance comfort of both the standard seats and the optional Recaro upgrades. Still, they try hard with a long list of standard features like heated power front leather buckets, dual-zone... |

2012 cadillac cts-v Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...In government crash tests, the regular CTS received the best possible rating of five stars in the overall, frontal and side crash categories. In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety testing, the regular sedan was awarded the best rating of "Good" in the frontal-offset, side and roof strength tests. Interior Design and Special Features: First, the bad news: The 2012 CTS-V's interior isn't much different from that of the regular CTS model. Now the good news: The CTS already sports one of the nicer passenger compartments in the segment. The overall look is high-class, with an attractive and... |

2012 cadillac cts-v coupe Professional Edmunds ReviewSource: Edmunds...The optional navigation system emerges from the top of the dash and retracts almost fully, leaving a small section visible as a touchscreen display for the audio system -- a smart and elegant solution to having a separate control panel. This is where the flattering stops, though, as the interior is otherwise filled with compromises and flaws. Outward rear visibility is notably poor, forcing the driver to rely on the rearview camera and blind-spot warning systems. The optional tilt-only sunroof significantly limits front seat headroom even for those of average height. Rear seat passengers must... |

2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe OverviewSource: CarGurus...Though the handling gives up nothing to its more expensive competition in terms of cornering ability (the CTS-V delivers a face-stretching 0.92g on the skidpad), the overall feel falls just short of BMW’s world-class M3. Cadillac’s engineers have done a commendable job, but they are a bit hamstrung by the heavy engine (which contributes to a nose-heavy 54/46 weight distribution) and the slightly numb speed-sensitive power steering. The brakes, supplied by Italian specialist Brembo, are excellent and feature six-piston calipers that stop the CTS-V Coupe with confidence from any speed.The... |

Closer in size to the mid-size Germans, the Cadillac CTS-V is priced against more compact sports cars.
A chief rival is BMW's M3 lineup of sedans, coupes and convertibles, brilliant performers with V-8 power and hefty curb weights.
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is another paddle-shifted, mega-watt offering, this year with a new coupe body style added to the lineup.
The Lexus IS-F competes on paper, but its interior isn't quite up to snuff, and its eight-speed transmission is a shifty piece--and it's sedan-only.
The Audi S4 is a bit shy on performance, and its supercharged V-6 sounds coarse compared to the Caddy or BMW or Benz, but it's more of a bargain, and has standard all-wheel drive.
Lastly, there's the Infiniti G37 IPL, a more sporty version of the G lineup that's not quite as transformed as the other superheated sports sedans, coupes and convertibles in this class.
